Après le père (Ben, qui joue aussi au Fest Jazz cette année !) voici le fils Waters, à savoir Tom. Saxophoniste de jazz et Rythm’n’blues, Tom a dès son plus jeune âge démontré son grand talent de musicien auprès de son père en le suivant sur ses tournées.
Il a depuis travaillé avec de nombreux groupes connus et légendes du rock and roll : enregistrement avec les Rolling Stones, Ray Davis, il a également joué auprès de Mick Taylor et Mungo Jerry. Bref, un jeune prodige du blues qui a déjà fait le tour du monde, et ne compte pas s’arrêter là !
Tom has been touring the world and playing alongside his father, Ben, since he was eight years old. He has now developed as a real star in his own right. Now 21, he has won the prestigious « Young Blues Player of the Year Award » from the British Blues Society and forged a fearsome reputation as an extremely talented musician , with frequent performances at the celebrated Ronnie Scott’s Club in London. He has also played alongside top musicians (he is a regular in the Jools Holland Rhythm and Blues Orchestra) and his latest saxophone was a present from the Rolling Stones ! Not at all bad for a young man of 21 !
His group at Fest Jazz, « Electric People », is the very best of rhythm and blues today !
